Change for America competition

The Connect U.S. community has a real opportunity to highlight the issues that are most important to us: climate change and its impact on developing countries; human rights; nonproliferation; and striking a balance between State/USAID and the Defense Department.

The mission of Ideas for Change in America is to identify and advance concrete solutions to the major challenges confronting our country.  It is a "crowd-sourcing" competition that empowers citizens to identify and build momentum around the most innovative ideas for addressing the challenges our country faces.

The 10 most popular ideas will be presented at an event in Washington, DC to relevant members of the Obama Administration, and Change.org will subsequently mobilize its full community to support a series of grassroots campaigns to turn each idea into reality.

Connect U.S. Fund community members the Federation of American Scientists has the second most popular submission: "Create a nuclear-weapon free world, and eliminate all nuclear weapons by 2045!"

Deadline for submitting and voting for ideas is February 18, so spread the word and let's get our issues up there!
