Event Summary

Despite the fact that women account for over 70 percent of small farmers and small businesses in Africa, women in developing countries continue to lack access to economic opportunities and in many instances basic human rights. Two leading experts will detail the challenges and opportunities for women in developing countries, as well as how the United States can create a new, more effective development policy that recognizes the key role of women.
