11 Uplifting Prayers for Hopeless Situations

Many situations in life can make us feel worn and broken. These uplifting prayers for hopeless situations will help you to put your focus back on Christ and his promises.

Prayer #1

Lord, thank you that I can always find comfort in Your presence. You are Immanuel, God with me. You know how my heart feels like it’s shattering a little more every day. Help me to see that because of You there’s always a reason to hope.

Thank you for dilling me with hope by the power of Your Holy Spirit. A hope that’s rooted in the truth of who You are. Help me to keep my eyes focused on You and to reach for Your hand. You will never leave me. And in You, Jesus, I have all I need. In Jesus’ precious Name, Amen.

Prayer #2

Lord, we ask that you heal our broken hearts and crushed spirits of the disappoinments we face everyday. Remove the heaviness within our hearts and give us the strength to forgive.

Give us the power to look beyond the present disappointments and remind us that You, oh Father, will make all things work together for our good. You always have great things in store for us.

Prayer #3

Father God, the darkness has taken hold of me and I can’t find my way back to the light. In this moment, ending it all seems like the best option, the only option, the only way to escape. Yet, there is something in me that wants your light to snuff out the darkness. So I ask, Lord, that you would do just that. You are the only light that can shine in the darkness.

When I feel like I don’t matter, remind me that I was created with purpose. When I don’t know or understand why I feel the way I feel – remind me that you know the depth of pain in my heart, in my body and in my being. You know me better than I know myself… and yet you still love me.

Remind me that I am fearfully and wonderfully made, and I am worth more than I know. Remind me that this life is not mine to take. Remind me that suicide is not the only option. Remind me to love you and to love myself.

Remind me that Jesus did not come to earth and die for me so that I could live a defeated life. Help me to desire life and to live fully in you. In Jesus’ precious name, Amen.

Prayer #4

Heavenly Father, I may not understand how everything will work out, but I trust You. I don’t see a way, but I know You will make a way. I have faith that at this very moment You are touching hearts, opening doors, and lining up the right breaks and right opportunities. Things may look dark and bleak now, but I have faith that my dawn is coming. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Prayer #5

Heavenly Father,
You know the struggles I have. You understand every part of me. I need you now more than ever. Please help me feel whole. I don’t want to live like this. My thoughts consume me and I feel myself slipping further away from you.

Help me find the strength I need to reach out and tell my family. I know they love me. I know you love me. Give me the hope I need to make it through another day. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Prayer #6

O holy Saint Gregory, confessor and priest of the Lord, I pray thee that thou wouldst intercede with our Lord God for me, that, being purified from all vice, I may please Him in all things, and that He will grant me the peace possessed by all His servants.
Amen.

Prayer #7

Dear Heavenly Father, I don’t know why, I’m feeling this way. I feel down and low. Where are you? I feel worthless, and life seems to lose. It’s meaning and joy.

I have no reason to feel this, No reason to be sad, I just am. Come back to me, oh Lord. Come back to me now. Let me feel the soft caress, of your mercy once again. Let not the enemy fool me, into thinking I’m not forgiven, into thinking I’m not loved.

I am God’s child. My identity indestructible, as God’s love is invincible. Yes, I can feel down sometimes, but I can always return to what I know. Jesus died for me. He rose again. And he is coming back.

Come soon, sweet Lord. Hurry back, Let Your Day come to us soon. You are my true hope, You alone are my glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Prayer #8

Dear God, I ask you to hear my prayer at this time of need when I feel alone the most. I ask that you please watch over me and my loved ones as we begin to go through this trial and tribulation set before me. I noticed difficult at times often unbearable but I understand it is your plan.

I understand that this is your will and I ask is for the guidance walk me through this and get me out of this problem situation. Help me understand that I am not lost as long as you’re with me. Help me to understand that it is your will and the matter what you will see me through it.

I understand that nothing that I go through is without your will, but please show me the light. Show me how to keep my faith. Please watch over me as your love is guiding me. I leave my worries I leave my troubles in your hands and asked to please grant me comfort in this time of need in your name. Amen.
