Women in ministry provide a huge amount of support to families and create a sense of community among women for emotional and spiritual support. A lot of needs are met in this ministry and require ongoing prayers. These uplifting prayers for women’s ministries serve as just some examples of the types of prayers you can recite and share to encourage your local ministry.
Wisdom Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank you for bringing a group of women who love Christ under one roof. We do not take this for granted. Your word says that if anyone lacks wisdom, they should ask and you will give them. Lord, give us understanding so that we may run this retreat in a way that glorifies your name. Put your words in our mouths that we may be able to edify and build each other up. Please help us to be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to anger. In Jesus’ name, we believe and pray, Amen.
Courage Prayer
Father, so many things happen that end up intimidating women who have committed themselves to serve you. The busyness of life and the attacks from the enemy cause many women to second-guess themselves, and some of them give up on the desire to serve you in ministry. Father God, let your divine power be upon women that are devoted to serving in different capacities all over the world. Remind them to be courageous when the storms of life are against them. In Jesus’ name, I believe and pray, Amen.
Establish Their Works Prayer
Lord, your word says that unless you are the one who built a city, the builders build in vain. Establish the works of our hands during this conference, in our churches and homes. May the things that we learn today help us to continue being women that bring glory to your holy name. May our words, thoughts and actions align with your word. Lord, we thank you for your love and protection. In Jesus’ name, we believe and pray, Amen.
Grounded in the Word Prayer
Father in heaven, I thank you for all the women that have gathered here for the sake of your name. We have left our homes and families to come to this place so that we could unite as women who love Christ and study the word together. Your word says that we should build each other up, and that is what we are going to do during these sessions. Lord, may we become women who are grounded in your word. Please help us to follow the direction of the Holy Spirit in all that we do. In Jesus’ name, we believe and pray, Amen.
Strength Prayer
Dear Lord, we come before your throne of grace to say thank you for uniting us as women so that we can serve you and accomplish your plans in this world. It is not easy for women to come up together for a common purpose without there being any trace of strife or contention. Lord, give us strength that we may be able to stand firm as one and fulfill the plans you have set before us. Strengthen us in our inner being that we may be able to overcome all the attacks of the enemy. Lord, we love you, and we honor you. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
Guidance Prayer
O Lord, thank you for the Holy Spirit that you have sent to help us in all things. May he guide us in everything that we do during bible study and as we fellowship together. Holy Spirit, guide us in the way that we should go, and open up scripture in a more profound way that we may see Jesus Christ in every verse that we read. Prepare our hearts so that our hearts are fertile ground for the message that the guest speaker is going to share with us today. When we leave this place, continue guiding us in all that we do and teach us how to apply what we have learned to our lives. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
Commitment Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank you for enabling us to gather here today, we wouldn’t have done this without you. Lord, help us to be women who commit to your plans. We go through so many challenges as women, and there are times we want to quit everything. But we know that you created us for a purpose and, by your grace, we can handle everything that you’ve given us. Help us to commit to your plans and to our relationship with you so that we may not stray from our calling, not just as mothers or wives, but also as women who are committed to serving God in different ministries. In Jesus’ name, we pray, Amen.
Healing Prayer
Heavenly Father, many women gathered here today are hurting on the inside because of the things that they are facing at home, at their workplaces and in their businesses. Many of us have been left wounded by the issues of life. Father, let your healing power rest upon us. Bind our broken hearts and release us from our prisons of bitterness. May whatever we share in this place bring healing. Help all of us to be understanding of those who are hurting instead of being judgmental. In Jesus’ name, we believe and pray, Amen.
Embrace One Another Prayer
Almighty God, bless every woman who is standing before you today. Many had planned to come to this retreat, but only those who are standing here have been able to, and we want to say thank you. Lord, as we interact, help us to embrace one another with love. Help us to focus on your forgiveness, love and grace. Show us how to extend these things to each other. In Jesus’ name, I believe and pray, Amen.
Thanksgiving Prayer
Dear Lord, thank you for being gracious to us. We honor your name, for you are the God that wars on our behalf. Thank you for loving and choosing us before the foundation of the world to be wives, mothers, friends, church leaders and businesswomen. Thank you for the good plans that you have for our lives. We also want to thank you for choosing us to serve in different capacities in your Kingdom. Lord, we dedicate all that we are to you and ask you to help us continue walking in your Spirit and truth. In Jesus’ name, we believe and pray, Amen.
Draw Closer to You Prayer
Oh Lord, we thank you for your amazing grace that is upon us. Thank you for caring about everything that concerns our loved ones and us. Your word tells us to be anxious for nothing, but Father, as women, it is hard not to be worried. Lord, help us to keep our thoughts fixed on you alone. By your divine power, help us draw closer to you so that we can be able to hear your voice and follow your direction for our lives. May you continue to dwell in us richly that we may continue serving you, the true living God, and bring glory to your name. In Jesus’ name, we believe and pray, Amen.
