Whether you are in a valley or on a mountaintop, we all have a desire to change in some way. These powerful prayers for change in my life are just some examples of the type of prayers you can recite to the Lord and seek a new pathway.
Hebrews 11:8
King of Glory, change is often a scary thought, but Your word encourages change; Your faithful servants embraced change. I pray that I follow Abraham’s example and walk in faith when I obey the things that You have called me to do. Abraham was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance; he went out, not knowing where he was going. I pray that I too walk faith-first (instead of feet-first) into change, Amen.
Genesis 1:1 & 1 Corinthians 15:51-52
Awesome God, since the very beginning You brought about change, You created the heavens and the earth to a place that was void and surrounded by darkness. Even in death You bring about change for Your word says that we shall not sleep, but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet! Lord, I pray that I embrace change in my life because change is often evidence of You working for my good, Amen.
Romans 12:2
Beautiful God, I pray that You help me change the things in my life that keep me attached to the world. I pray for change in my life because I do not want to be conformed to this world, instead I need to be transformed by the renewing of my mind, that by testing I may discern what is the will of You, what is good and acceptable and perfect. I pray for a change/renewal of my mind so that I may see a manifestation of change in the atmosphere around me, Amen.
Joshua 1:9
Holy One, I declare change in my life because I do not want to remain stagnant in my relationship with You and in my earthly position in my ministry. I will not be afraid; I will not be discouraged, for You, my God, will be with me as I experience the various transitions of life, Amen.
Deuteronomy 31:8
Oh Lord, thank You for going before me and for being with me through the changes in my life. Isaiah 43:19
God of All Things New, I believe that through You I can achieve change in my life because You are doing a new thing! Now it springs up; I pray that I perceive it, I pray that I acknowledge that You are the source of my change. Thank You, Father, for making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland! Lord, I thank You for the changes that have occurred in my life and the changes that are about to happen, Amen.
2 Peter 3:9
Dear Father, I rejoice in the change that is taking place in my life. I know that it is only by Your grace and mercy towards me because You are not slow to fulfill Your promise to me as some count slowness, but You have been patient towards me, not wishing that I should perish, but that I should reach repentance. I thank You for the spiritual change that is working within me, Lord, thank You for the spiritual growth that has occurred in my life, Amen.
Isaiah 40:8
Righteous God, I pray that whilst I undergo changes in my life, I cling onto You word. My environment may change, people may come and go, time may pass, the grass withers, the flower fades, but Your word stands forever! Lord, I will immerse myself in Your word so that I may be equipped to deal with the changes that come. Father, I pray that when changes occur, the Scriptures will be a comfort to me, Amen.

God of Abraham, You were there before the beginning, before time began! I praise You for who You are – my unshakable, unmovable God! You are the Lord, and You do not change. You are with me and You remain the same, therefore, just as You were faithful and brought Abraham through a season of change, You will do the same for me, Amen.
Hebrews 13:5
