The word teamwork does not directly appear in any scripture of the Bible. However, the concept of working together is communicated quite frequently. Whether you are dealing with the societal structure of marriage, family, or community, the Bible is filled with knowledge on how to handle daily living and conflict. Here is a look at some of the most powerful Bible verses on teamwork to remember.
“And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ,” | Ephesians 4:11-12
“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” | Hebrews 10:24-25
“And the LORD God said, [It is] not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.” | Genesis 2:18
“As every man hath received the gift, [even so] minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” | 1 Peter 4:10
“As it is, there are many parts, yet one body. The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, …” | 1 Corinthians 12:20-25
“As one piece of iron sharpens another, so friends keep each other sharp.” | Proverbs 27:17
“For example, the body is one unit and yet has many parts. As all the parts form one body, so it is with Christ. By one Spirit we were all baptized into one body. Whether we are Jewish or Greek, slave or free, God gave all of us one Spirit to drink.” | 1 Corinthians 12:12-13
“For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:” | Ephesians 4:12
“For we are God’s fellow workers. You are God’s field, God’s building.” | 1 Corinthians 3:9
“From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.” | Ephesians 4:16
“from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.” | Ephesians 4:16
“It is good and pleasant when God’s people live together in peace!” | Psalm 133:1
“Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.” | Philippians 2:3-4
“Let us be concerned for one another, to help one another to show love and to do good. Let us not give up the habit of meeting together, as some are doing. Instead, let us encourage one another all the more, since you see that the Day of the Lord is coming nearer.” | Hebrews 10:24-25
“May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” | Romans 15:5-6
“Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and [that] there be no divisions among you; but [that] ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” | 1 Corinthians 1:10
“Now the God of patience and consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ Jesus:” | Romans 15:5
“Show family affection to one another with brotherly love. Outdo one another in showing honor.” | Romans 12:10
“That ye may with one mind [and] one mouth glorify God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.” | Romans 15:6
“The evidence of the Spirit’s presence is given to each person for the common good of everyone. The Spirit gives one person the ability to speak with wisdom. The same Spirit gives another person the ability to speak with knowledge.” | 1 Corinthians 12:7-8
“Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to live alone. I will make a suitable companion to help him.”” | Genesis 2:18
“Two are better off than one, because together they can work more effectively. If one of them falls down, the other can help him up. But if someone is alone and falls, it’s just too bad, because there is no one to help him. If it is cold, two can sleep together and stay warm, but how can you keep warm by yourself Two people can resist an attack that would defeat one person alone. A rope made of three cords is hard to break.” | Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
“We ought therefore to show hospitality to such people so that we may work together for the truth.” | 3 John 1:8
“We who are strong in faith should help the weak with their weaknesses, and not please only ourselves.” | Romans 15:1
“Where there is no guidance, a people falls, but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.” | Proverbs 11:14
