6 Daily Devotional Prayers for Teachers

Deuteronomy 32:2, Exodus 4:12, Luke 12:12
Dear Lord, thank You for allowing me to be a teacher. I love teaching but struggle selecting the correct things to say at times. I pray that as I speak to my students, Your Holy Spirit will help me choose the right Words to say so that the content I teach does not get ignored. Let my teaching fall on my students like rain and let what I say settle on them like dew. This is the pray of my heart, Amen.

Joshua 1:9, Matthew 28:20
Heavenly Father, before I enter the classroom this day, please give me courage. Drive away all fear so that I can exercise my authority without hindrance. Your Word has commanded me to be strong, so allow me to remember this as I teach my students. Whenever doubt comes to the forefront of my thoughts, let Your strength be the rod that I can lean on because I know that You are with me, even to the end of the age; Thank You Lord, Amen.

Proverbs 14:29, James 1:19
Oh Lord, help me to have patience in my classroom. Just like You have been patient with me, let me extend the same level of patience to my students. Father, when they attempt to aggravate me, disrupt each other or themselves or deviate from the lesson, give me the wisdom to remain calm. Help me to be slow to anger and increase my capacity to remain patient, in Your Name, I pray, Amen.

Romans 2:21, Titus 2:7
Dear Lord, help me to be an excellent role model to my students inside and outside of the classroom. Let my lifestyle be one that students can be inspired by. I pray that I will not be a hypocrite in the classroom, but I will be a pattern of good works. I pray that as I tell my students to work hard and be kind to one another that I too will do the same. Lord, I pray this prayer by faith, Amen.

Galatians 6:9
Dear Father, I pray that You strengthen me daily as I teach my students. I pray that whenever I feel pressured by my job help me so I don’t feel burdened or weary. I pray against depression, anxiety and doubt in the Name of Jesus. I pray that I remember that as long as I do not give up and keep my trust in You, I will reap the harvest; thank You Lord, Amen.

Isaiah 57:15, Revelation 4:11a
Oh God, although teaching is a job that requires a lot of my personal time, I pray that You are always the focus of my heart, soul and mind. I pray that in my classroom You remain high and lifted up. I pray that in my classroom it is You who has the ultimate authority because You deserve all of the glory and honor. Allow me to remember that Your mighty power is with me at all times, Amen.
