Deuteronomy 31:6, Philippians 4:6
Dear Father, You are the God of love. I thank You that You are with me in every change and transition. I trust in Your Word that says, “the Lord Your God goes with You.” Therefore, as I enter into this new season of my life, I will not worry about the unknown ahead of me. Instead, I will trust in Your word that says, I must not be anxious for anything but in everything through prayer and supplication, I will make my requests be made known to You. Guide my spirit, Lord, and comfort my heart in this time of change. Amen.
Psalm 22:11, John 10:11, Hebrews 12:2
Heavenly Father, I am about to embark on a new chapter of my life, and face the end to another. I ask that You lead and direct me as I go through new challenges during my transition. Father, stay close to me so that I do not stray from You. You are my Good Shepherd, and I am Your sheep. I need You to guide me and help me to keep my eyes fixed on You. Grant me what I need to be successful on this new journey, and calm my anxious mind through all the change. Thank You, Father. Amen.
Ecclesiastes 3:1
Dear Father, I thank You for being with me throughout every season of my life, whether they are endings or beginnings. I thank You for Your word, which reminds me that there is a time for every purpose under heaven. I praise You for what You have ended in my life because I know You have a plan for something new and wonderful. I rejoice in Your plan, and submit to Your will. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
Isaiah 43:18-19
Heavenly Father, Your Word declares that I must forget the former things and not dwell on the past. So God, I thank You for doing something new thing in my life and helping me to move forward. Help me to understand that this new way is good, and that it is from You. I know that You are making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. So, Father, I will not dwell on my past, but I will focus on fulfilling Your plan for my future. In Christ Jesus our Lord, Amen.
Philippians 3:13-14
Dear Lord of Hosts, in You there are endings and new beginnings. Often times, our new beginnings can be very uncertain, resulting in fear and doubt. I know that I need to forget what is behind me, and instead press ahead towards whatever You have planned for me. Give me the strength and the courage to move forward toward the goal to win the prize of the upward call of God. In Christ Jesus Our Lord, Amen.
Psalm 57:7
Faithful God, I thank You because You are the God of new beginnings and endings. Father, there are many people today who are suffering from an ending they are experiencing, such as the ending of a loved one’s life, a divorce or the loss of a job. God, please help them to recognize in these very painful moments that they are embarking on a new chapter of their lives. Help them prepare their hearts for the things you bring them out of and the new things You have in store for them. Amen.
