6 Powerful Prayers for a New School Term

Romans 15:13
God of Hope, as I begin a new school I pray that You fill me with all joy and peace as I trust in You. I do not know what to expect, and honestly I feel anxious but I pray that You have Your divine way in me. I pray that I overflow with hope by the power of Your Holy Spirit. I pray that the joy and peace that You have given me, keeps me throughout this academic year, Amen.

John 16:33
Eternal God, I thank You for who You are and I thank You for helping every child get into this new school. I pray that as they go through each day they remember that in You they will always find peace. In this world and even in school they may face difficulties but I pray that they will be of good cheer because You overcame the world through the power of Christ. Thank You for Your everlasting peace, Amen.

Psalm 20:4, Psalm 37:4
Oh Lord, I pray for all those in academic studies, in this new school term. I place them before You right now because beginning a new school is not easy. But I know that with You they will succeed. They will succeed because You are with them and You can give them the desires of their heart if they delight in You. I pray against any distractions so that they can be focused to do well like You want them to, Amen.

Psalm 34:19
Dear Savior, during this new school term, I pray that whilst I travel to school, I carry Your light within me. I pray that Your light never fades within me, let my focus always be on You in every environment I enter. I know that I may face troubles at school but Lord You are faithful to deliver me from them all! I know that this year I will be successful and will overcome all things because Your Word tells me so, Amen.

Matthew 11:28
Heavenly Father, I pray that if studies gets hard during this new school term, I will come to You. Your Word states that all who are weary and burdened must come to You because in You they will find rest. I pray that whenever I feel nervous or anxious I will focus on You because You are my eternal peace and strength. I thank You for who You are, Amen.

Joshua 1:9
Dear Lord, as I begin a new school term, I will fear not. You have commanded me to be strong and of good courage! I won’t be afraid or discouraged because You are with me wherever I go. In my last school term, You were with me and in my new school term You are still with me. You watch over me and I know You will strengthen me daily. Thank You Lord, Amen.
