6 Strong Prayers for Holy Souls Day

1 Corinthians 15:51-54
Lord I thank You for allowing us to gather on this special day to celebrate life in You. Your word declares that we will not die, but we will be transformed! It will happen in the moment. In the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. Those who have died will be raised to live forever! And those who are living will also be transformed. Father we thank You for this transformation that causes death to be swallowed up in victory. Death has no sting! We praise Your Name for the fulfillment of Your scripture, Amen.

1 Peter 3:18
Almighty God, I give You the praise because You have been so good to us. You suffered for my sins once and for all time. You never sinned but You died for sinners to bring them safely home to You. Lord, You suffered a physical death, but You were raised to life in the Spirit. We celebrate Your victory and also celebrate the lives of our loved ones who have been and will be raised to life in the Spirit with You, Amen.

John 14:2-3
Holy One, I thank You for coming to save us all so that we can spend eternity with You. I thank You because the souls of our brothers and sisters will find rest in You. In the scripture, You tell us that You have many rooms in Your house, and that You sent Your son to prepare a place for us all so that we can be with You. I thank You for this hope that we have of eternal life with You. I pray that this promise continues to comfort us on this special day, Amen.

Luke 23:42-43
Heavenly God, I look to You and I worship You. I thank You because although You sit high and lifted up on Your throne in Your kingdom, I am not forgotten. Lord, You have made a way so that Your people can be with You in paradise after death. Thank You Lord for the gift of eternity with You. I celebrate this special gift and rejoice at those who have already found their eternity with You in heaven, Amen.

John 5:28-29
Glory be to God in the highest! There will be a time when all who are in their graves will hear Your voice and come out – those who have done what is good will rise to live, and those who have done what is evil will rise to be condemned. Lord, those who have passed are not forgotten even though their bodies are asleep in the grave. I exalt You, for there is a time when all who are asleep will rise, Amen.

2 Corinthians 5:1-10
Heavenly Father, let us rejoice because despite the earthly tent we live in being destroyed, we have a building from You, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. Here on earth, we long to be clothed with our heavenly dwelling because we will not be found naked. But I am filled with delight knowing that there are many who are already experiencing Your heavenly dwelling! I pray that we continue to live by faith and not by sight and continue to please You whilst we live away from You, Amen.
