7 Creative Prayers for Youths

1 Corinthians 10:13
Heavenly Father, as a young person, sometimes it seems too hard to stay strong in my faithfulness to Your Word. But Your Word declares that no temptation has overtaken me except what is common to mankind. Therefore, not yielding to it is possible. Also, You are faithful that You won’t tempt me beyond what I can bear, Lord I pray that I can see the way out so that I can endure it, Amen.

Matthew 11:28-30
Awesome God, in today’s society everyone wants to label things before even considering what You – the Father – has to say about it. Depression, anxiety and other mental health issues are all placed upon people (especially young people) too quickly. I pray that all young people come to You first when they are heavy burdened, because You will give us rest. Let us take up Your yoke so we can learn from You for Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light, Amen.

Ephesians 6:1-3
Eternal Saviour, I thank You for my parents and I pray that I obey them because this is what is right. I know that they want what’s best for me, so I pray that I listen to their Words and direction. I will honour my mother and my father as You have commanded because in doing so, it will go well for me and I will enjoy a long life here on earth. I thank You for my parents, Amen.

Isaiah 40:29-31
God of Life, I thank You for who You are! I thank You because You are my divine strength. You give strength to the weary and empower the weak! Lord, Your Word also tells me that even I (as a youth) will grow tired and weary, or even stumble. But when I put my hope in You, my strength is renewed. I will soar on wings like eagles! I will run and not grow weary! I will run and not faint! Amen.

Jeremiah 29:11
God of Love, please help us to think in the same way that You do. Your Word says that: You know the thoughts that You have of us, those of peace and not evil to give us a future and a hope! Lord, we thank You because Your thoughts of us have been better than our own thoughts of us, so help us to think as You do so that we can achieve the great things that You have intended for us, Amen.

Philippians 4:13
Dear Lord, Your Word declares that I can do all things through You who strengthens me, help me to live this Word and believe this Word. I pray that I not only think of You for the big tasks in my life, but I pray that I can include this in the more trivial tasks that I set out to achieve. I can do all things through You, not just some. I can get a job through You, I can pass any test through You, I can travel safely through You; the list goes on. I pray that I seek to include You in everything, Amen.

1 Corinthians 16:13 & 1 John 4:4
Gracious Father, I thank You for blessing me and keeping me safe. I know that the enemy has many plans to destroy youth because of the potential that we have placed inside of us is so great. But Lord I pray that I watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave and be strong. Just as the evil in this world increase in its might, I pray that I also increase in my strength in You because greater is He that is in me, than he that is in the world, Amen.
