7 Good Prayers for an Addict Husband

Psalm 107:19-21
Dear God, I thank You for this marriage, which I know has been ordained by You. I thank You for blessing me with a husband as I know that You have joined us together to become one. Oh Lord, I pray for my addicted husband; I ask that You save him out of his distresses. Please heal and deliver him from his destructions. Send Your Word and heal him I pray, so that He will give thanks to You for Your goodness, this I pray, Amen.

Ephesians 3:20
Heavenly Father, You are able to do exceedingly abundantly more than I could ever ask or think. I know addiction is not of You, but God my husband has been bound by this spirit (spirit of addiction). I pray Lord that you will heal his mind, body and spirit. Mend our broken marriage because drugs/alcohol have no place in our lives now, or in the future. Lord, I thank you in advance, Amen.

Philippians 4:6
Dear Father, I know You said that we must not be anxious for anything, but in prayer and supplication we are to make our requests be made known unto You. Lord in prayer and supplication, I request that you bless my husband who is suffering from addiction. I pray that You help Him to take the first steps to recovery and restoration in Jesus Name. Transform His life by the power of Your Holy Spirit, Amen.

James 5:15
Dear Lord, You said that the prayer of faith will save the sick and the Lord will raise him up and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. I offer this prayer of faith on behalf of my sick husband who is diseased by addiction. I ask that you raise him up out of his sick senses. Lord if he has committed any sins, known and unknown, I ask that You forgive him in Jesus Name I pray, Amen.

Psalm 8:1, Matthew 9:20
Oh Lord My God, how excellent is Your Name in all the earth. You have set Your Glory above the heavens. I ask that You grant a special touch for my addicted husband in Jesus Name. Lord just like the woman with the issue of blood who touched the hem of your garment, I pray that my husband will also touch the hem of Your garment and he shall be made whole; thank You Jesus, Amen.

John 9:6-7
Almighty God, it is not Your desire that we yield into temptation, because we know that temptation does not come from You, but from the adversary. God, I pray for my husband who is battling with addiction. We recognize that the workings of satanic agents have blinded the eyes of (husband’s name). But in the Name of Jesus, Lord I pray that just as You caused the blind man to see, I declare that (husband’s name) shall no longer be blinded by the sins of this world, Amen.

Jeremiah 1:5, Jeremiah 29:11
Dear Lord, I know that you are omniscient and You see the strongholds concerning my husband and his addiction. But Your Word says that before You formed him in the womb, You knew him. Lord You know the plans You have for him, plans to prosper him and not to harm him, plans to give him a hope and a future. Lord I pray that you will restore him to full health because you have ordained him a prophet to the nations; we believe by faith, Amen.
