7 Good Prayers for Grown Sons

Ephesians 1:17, 19
Dear Father, I thank You for my grown son/sons that you have blessed us with. They are a true blessing to the family unit and I ask that as they are now young adults, help them to not be swayed by peer pressure and social media, but I pray that their hearts will be focused on You. Lord give them spiritual wisdom and insight that they may grow in their knowledge of You. Help them also to understand the incredible greatness of Your power. This we ask, dear Father. Amen.

Colossians 1:10, 13
Oh Lord, I pray that the way our son/sons will always honor and please You and that their lives will produce every kind of good fruit. I pray against the dark sins of this world that wants to influence our son/sons. But in the name of Jesus, I pray that You will rescue them from the kingdom of darkness and transfer them into the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins. Amen.

Ephesians 4:29
Dear Lord, we pray against the spirit of gang crime and murder that is roaming our city and land. We pray for our grown sons that they will refrain from being influenced by Satanic spirits. Let no corrupt talk come out of their mouths, but only such as is good for building up, that it may give grace to those who hear. Bless them with Your love and peace in this season. Amen.

Job 1:5
Oh Lord, thank You for family and thank You for our grown sons who have now departed the family home. But Lord just as Job would rise up early in the morning to offer burnt offerings for his children, I pray this prayer of offering for our sons and that You will sanctify them. If my sons have sinned and caused offense in their hearts, Lord please grant mercy and forgiveness in Jesus’s name we pray. Amen.

1 Peter 5:7, John 3:16, John 8:36
Oh Lord, I pray for my son/sons who has/have turned from You. Father, Your Words says that I can cast my burdens upon You because You care for me. Right now, God You know the burden we carry to see our loved ones return back to You. Help them to remember Your Love and that You gave Your only Son for their sins. Father, I thank You that there are no limits to Your power and that You came to set the captives free. Set our son/sons free in Jesus’s holy name. Amen.

Psalm 51:10-12
Heavenly Father, I pray that You will create in my son/sons a clean heart and that you will renew a right spirit within him/them. Father I ask that You cast them not away from your presence and do not take Your Holy Spirit away from him/them. Lord, I ask that You restore unto (Name/Names of sons) the joy of Your Salvation and uphold him/them by your generous Spirit. Amen.

Deuteronomy 13:4, Joshua 1:6-7
Dear Father, as my son/sons is/are now grown, I pray that they may walk after You, fear You and keep Your commands. Help them to obey Your voice. I pray that he/they will serve You and hold fast to You. I pray that You will grant my son/sons a Joshua spirit, in that they will be strong and courageous and of good courage and they will observe to do according to all You have commanded, in Jesus’s beautiful name. Amen.
