7 Inspirational Prayers for Veterans Day

2 Samuel 22:2-4
Heavenly Father, thank You for those who have protected our nation. So, today is a day where we unite to reflect, remember and pray, for those who have fought for their country. So, we thank You for saving individuals from the hand of their enemies, because You are their rock and it is in You they take refuge. We bless You for this day, Amen.

Psalm 144:1, Psalm 46:1
Oh Lord we thank You for those who have fought for their nation and for those who continue to fight. So blessed be the Lord my rock, who trains our hands for war and our fingers for battle. We pray that You will be our fortress, our high tower and our deliverer because you are my shield and a very present help in the midst of trouble, Amen.

Psalm 23:4, Ephesians 6:11
Dear Lord, we pray during this veteran day, for both men and women who have served their nation unselfishly. We pray for Your arm of protection to be around them and that You will lead them through the dark valleys of the shadow of death. Lord, they will fear no evil, because Your rod and staff comfort them. Draw them close to You and never let them go, as they continue to face such a dark divisive world. We pray, that they will put on the whole armor of God, that they will be able to stand against the wiles of the enemy; we ask this in Your Name, Amen.

Psalm 27:3
Dear Lord, we thank You for Your Word that says, even when our enemies encamps around us, our hearts will not fear; though a war breaks out against me, in you I will trust. So, as we reflect during this veteran day, we declare your power and authority over every woman and man that serves their country. We pray that they will not fear, but trust You. Father be the power behind their efforts; let them serve with a heart of humility. Grant them Godly wisdom and discernment as they operate on the front line of the battle field, in Jesus Name, we pray, Amen.

John 8:36, Psalm 119:28, 1 Thessalonians 5:17
Heavenly Father, we pray for those who have served their nation. We know they have served well and faithfully. Therefore, because of their service, we are free! So we thank You, because Your Word tells us that whom the son sets free is free indeed. We are therefore free to express our thoughts, free to read and study Your Word and to pray without ceasing. So Lord, we pray even though our soul may become weary with sorrow, we ask that You will strengthen us according to Your Word, Amen.

1 Corinthians 16:13, Psalm 33:12
Dear Lord, we proclaim Your Word; to “be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men; be strong”. We will stand firm in the faith and we stand in Your strength because blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord. During this Veteran day, we pray for those who have been wounded by war . We pray for Your divine covering over the minds of our enemies that it will shift from destruction to a willingness of reconciliation for peace and harmony that comes only from the Almighty God, Amen.

Isaiah 53:5
Father God, we thank You for freedom within this country and community. On this Veteran day, we pray for healing of the wounds for those who have served in war. Lord, Isaiah 53:5 declares that, You were wounded for our transgressions and You were bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed. So as You bring healing to those affected by war, we also pray that you will protect their families, in Jesus Name, Amen.
