7 Intercessory Prayers For Family Service

Proverbs 12:7
Dear Father, we thank You for our family. We pray and declare that You will teach us wisdom and knowledge. We thank You for families who You have called to serve You in spirit and in truth. Therefore, we petition that the wicked shall be overthrown and they shall not destroy families anymore; we declare that the house of the righteous shall stand firm, in Jesus Name, Amen.

Romans 8:16, Ephesians 6:13
Dear God, we thank You for Your Word that reminds us that we are Your children and that we are heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ. We therefore give notice to Satanic Kingdoms that as a family, we shall operate in the power and the authority given to us and that no power of hell will be able to withstand against us. We put on the whole armour of Christ, knowing that the battle is not ours but the Lords, Amen.

Deuteronomy 6:4-6
Oh Lord, we thank You for the love You have shown upon our family. We ask that our family will learn the true meaning of agape love and that we will love You with all of our heart. We ask that You will helps us as parents to not only be speakers of Your Word, but also doers of Your Word in our home. So, we declare that Your love and Your sacrifice will always be on our hearts and minds and that by Your grace, we will demonstrate the same love to our children, Amen.

Joshua 1:9
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your Word in Joshua 1, that says “be strong and of good courage, do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord Your God is with you wherever You go”. I intercede right now for families as they serve You, pleading that our children and our children’s children, will be strong and courageous in doing Your work. We cast down fear and doubt and declare that You will always be with us, in our homes, school and places of work. We believe by faith, through Your Son, Amen.

1 Samuel 1:27-28
Oh Lord, we thank You for every member of our family unit. We know and thank You that our children are indeed a gift and heritage from You. Father, we give them back to You because they are Yours. Oh Lord, in this prayer, we petition that our children will serve you whole heartedly, in Jesus Name. We declare that just as Hannah gave Samuel back to You, we give our children to You, to be used for Your Kingdom. Let no harm come to them Father, this we pray, Amen.

Jeremiah 17:7-8
Dear Father, I pray that my family will trust and hope in You because You have told us that we shall be blessed. I speak Your Word over our family and believe that we shall be like a tree planted by the waters, our roots will spread by the river and we shall not fear when trouble or situations come upon us; our leaves will remain green, in Jesus Name. We declare, that we shall never be anxious and we shall not cease to produce fruit because we are blessed by You, Amen.

Galatians 5:22
Oh Lord, we thank You for Your love upon our family and we bless You for equipping us for service. I petition You right now and ask that you would pour out Your Divine Spirit upon us so that we can bless others in all that we do. Help us to show love, joy, peace, long suffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control to those we come into contact with. Help others to see the fruit of the Spirit operating in our lives, so that Your Name might be glorified, this we pray, Amen.
