John 8:36
Dear Lord, I admit that I am addicted to alcohol. But Your Word says, “if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” I declare Lord, that I shall no longer be bound by this stronghold. Father, I pray that You will help me to build self-control. Strengthen and fortify my self-control with Your power so that I do not fail. Amen.
2 Corinthians 12:10, Galatians 2:20
Father, I thank You because Your Word says that it is in my weakness that I am strong. Lord, I acknowledge my weakness in being addicted to alcohol. But I ask that You cover me and help me to walk in freedom. Lord, I pray that from today it is no longer I that merely live, but it is Christ who lives in me. Amen.
Romans 8:38-39
Dear Father, You said in Your Word that You will not give us any more than we can bear. But Lord, I am challenged in every area of my life and because I cannot find a solution. I have turned to alcohol for the solution. But Lord, I want to recover and break free from this stronghold. I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate me from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Help me to break free. Amen.
Romans 12:1-2
Dear Lord, I ask for forgiveness of my sins towards You and my body. Your Word said that I must present my body as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is my reasonable service. So, Father as I have battled with alcoholism for a long time, I pray that You will help me to become totally transformed by the renewing of my mind, that I may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. This I ask in Your holy name. Amen.
Jeremiah 17:14a
Heavenly Father, I ask for Your healing from alcohol abuse that has slowly dictated my life. I am crying out to You Lord in my trouble and I ask that You will save me from my distress. Please Lord, send out Your Word and heal me. “Heal me Lord and I will be healed.” I ask that You shall rescue me from the grave. This I ask in Your holy name. Amen.
1 Peter 5:8, Zachariah 9:12, Joel 2:25
Dear Lord, I thank You that You are a God of grace, love, joy and peace. I know that Satan is like a roaring lion, seeking who he may devour. God, I feel as though I have been devoured and as though I am a “prisoner of hope.” But God, I trust You for healing and restoration in Jesus’s name. By faith, I declare that “you will restore to me the years that the swarming locust has eaten” of my life. Lord, I surrender to You and ask that You will take full control of my life. Amen.
Matthew 11:28-29
Dear Lord, I know that You care for me, but at times I feel as though I am all alone. I pray God, that Your Word will continue to give me comfort during this alcohol addiction recovery period. Holy Spirit I come to Your as the source of my help and strength. I pray Your Word that says; “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Teach me how to learn from You. Help me to find rest for my soul. This I pray. Amen.
