7 Powerful Prayers for Anxiety and Panic

Prayer to Banish Anxiety
Dear gracious Father, You said in Your Word that I must not be anxious for anything. You said that through prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, I should let my request be made known to God. I request now, oh God, that my spirit of anxiousness be sent back to the pit of hell, in Jesus’s name! I declare NO anxiety, NO panic and NO doubt in my life. Those emotions will have NO influence over me, or control over my life anymore. Thank You, Father. Amen.

Prayer to Focus on the Almighty
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Your holy and loving name. I acknowledge who You are. You are Holy and You are worthy. You are mighty and all-powerful. You have dominion over creation. You created me in Your image. I will not fear because You are with me. Your Holy Spirit is inside of me. I will not be dismayed because You are my God. I release my anxiety to You. Make my yoke easy and my burden light. Amen.

Prayer for a Shield
Dear Jesus, You are the strength of my life. You are my rock, my fortress and my protector; therefore, whom shall I be afraid? You are my shield, my strong-tower and my stronghold. Let me feel your shield around me, protecting me from worry over what I cannot control. I will call to You because You are worthy to be praised. So, Father, I thank You for being my strength. Help me to trust in You to know that everything will be okay. Ease my mind of worry and concern. Calm my heart. Amen.

Prayer for My Unbelief
Sweet and loving Savior, I despise how anxiety and panicking makes me feel because it proves my unbelief. So, Father, help my unbelief. From this day forward, I will not give in to anxiety and panic attacks, but I will trust in You, Lord, with all of my heart, leaning not on my own understanding. I ask for Your Holy Spirit to destroy anxiety in my life. I trust in You, my powerful God, in whom all things are possible. I will be like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved. This I ask in Your holy name. Amen.

Prayer to Feel God Watching Me
Dear loving God, my help comes from You. You keep watch over me and neither slumber nor sleep. I know that You, Lord, are my keeper. Therefore, I refuse to panic and walk in negative energy, such as anxiety. You are by my side. Help me to feel Your watchful presence, loving God. Take my hand. I shall not fear but trust in Your Word, which shall never become empty or be lacking. Father, I know that anxiety, worry and panicking cannot add anything positive to my life, so I confidently trust in Your Word, the Word that gives life. Amen.

Prayer to Hear My Call
Heavenly Father, I thank You that in my distress and anxiousness I can call to You and You will answer. Fill my heart with Your peace and serenity. Calm my soul and give me rest, dear Father. I bless You that even from “deep in the realm of the dead, I called for help and You listened to my cry.” So, Lord, I stand on Your Word right now, even though at times I may experience anxiety and panic attacks. I am assured that my help comes from You, Lord, the all-powerful, all-mighty Maker of heaven and earth. Amen.

Prayer to Forgive My Doubt
Dear Lord, I ask that You forgive me for my doubting spirit that has caused me not to trust You wholeheartedly. Lord, teach me to not worry about tomorrow, for I know that tomorrow will worry about itself. Lord, You said, that each day has enough trouble of its own. So, Father, even though I experience challenges on a daily basis, I shall not be anxious, but I will put my hope and confidence in You. This is my prayer. Amen.
