7 Reflection Prayers for Meetings

Romans 12:2
Heavenly Father, I pray that as we gather for a divine purpose, we do not be conformed to this world. I pray that we are transformed by the renewing of our minds so that we can discern Your divine will; a will that is good, acceptable and perfect. I pray that we constantly have our minds renewed and opened by You so that we can be guided during our meetings, Amen.

Luke 14:28
Eternal Savior, I pray that we all truly reflect on our intentions during our meetings. I pray also that we consider what we achieve during our meetings and question how in line we are with Your will. The scripture states that one who wants to build a tower first sits down and reflects on the cost to ensure that it can be completed. I pray we too adopt this reflective mindset so that we can complete Your works, Amen.

1 Corinthians 13:3
Dear Lord, I pray that every meeting is carried out in love. We can attend these meetings and give away all that we have, but without love we have not gained anything. I pray that Your love is the underlying motivation of our actions and our goals set out during our meetings. I pray that we do not meet in vain, but we meet under the guidance of Your Holy Spirit, this we ask, Amen.

Matthew 7:4
Heavenly Father, I pray that You create in us a clean heart and renew the right spirit within us. I pray that during our meetings we first learn to question ourselves before we criticize others. Your scripture asks how can we say to our brother ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye’, when there is the log in our own eye? I pray that I do not sit in my own flaws and gather with others to point out theirs. I pray that during this meeting, You stir up an attitude of self-correction within me, Amen.

Joshua 1:8
Righteous God, I pray that the Book of Law does not depart from my mouth, I pray also that I meditate on it day and night, so that I will be careful to do according to all that is written in it. I pray that each of us in this meeting do this, because in doing so, we will make our way prosperous, and then we will have good success. Thank You for Your Word and I pray that the Scripture is our ultimate guide during our meetings, Amen.

Mark 10:17-31
Oh Lord, let us not be like the man who kept all the commandments from his youth. Let us not be legalistic in doing good for Your kingdom. I pray that as we gather in this meeting, we shall truly reflect on the importance of ‘sacrifice’ so that we may lack nothing. As we meet together help us to reflect and remember that we must give to the poor because our treasure is not here, but it is in heaven. Heavenly Father, help us walk in hearts of sacrifice, Amen.

2 Corinthians 13:5
Faithful God, I pray that we examine ourselves to see whether we are in the faith. I pray that we test ourselves because this is not about ourselves. These meetings are not about us because Father, You are in us; therefore we ask that You will be at the center. With You there is no room for selfishness, greed or any other fleshy thing. Let us be reflections of You dwelling within us in everything that we do, Amen.
