7 Uplifting Prayers for Parents of Drug Addicts

1 Corinthians 10:13-14
Faithful Father, I give You thanks today and I commit my child into Your mighty hands. Father, Your word says that when we are tempted that You will always provide a way out. I pray that You will provide a way out of the drug addiction for (name) and that You will strengthen them to say no to all drugs. I declare and decree that the spirit of addiction shall be broken in the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Psalm 50:15
Our Father, I bless Your name and I thank You for (name). Father you see the trouble that (name) faces and I pray that You will intercede on their behalf. I pray that you will break the spirit of addiction in their life in the Name of Jesus. May You remove every trigger and urge of their addiction. As I call upon you in their time of distress may you be faithful to deliver (name) in the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Matthew 26: 41
Dear Lord, I thank you that you are my savior and my child’s savior. I call on You today to save (name) from the dark destructive path of drugs. I pray that You will strengthen their flesh that they will not fall into temptation anymore. May You remove all pressures that leads to drugs and provide an alternative coping mechanism in You. I also pray that (name) will realize that you are more than enough, Amen.

Philippians 4:13, Revelation 12:11
Oh God, I thank You that You are a miracle working God and that all things are possible through You. I pray that You will deliver my child from their drug addiction. I pray that they will no longer desire to participate in drugs or be influenced by those who deal drugs. I declare and decree that drug addiction shall not be their life and they will overcome this by the blood of the Lamb, Amen.

Jeremiah 29:11, 1 Peter 5:10
Almighty one I cry out to You today on behalf of (name), Lord I know that this addiction is not the plan for my child’s life as you promised a future of hope. In the Name of Jesus I pray that You will restore my child and make them whole, may they be strong, firm and steadfast that they can resist the drugs and flee the plans of the enemy. May You also grant them grace as Your word says Your grace is sufficient, Amen.

1 Peter 5:7, Titus 2:11-12
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the opportunity to cast all of my cares onto You. Father I plead the blood of Jesus upon (name) and ask that You shall deliver them from all addictions they have. May Your saving grace teach (name) to say no to all ungodly and worldly passions. I pray that (name) will live a life of self-control and will not be led by their fleshly desires to abuse illegal substances, Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father, I commit my child into your healing and delivering hands. I pray that You open (name) eyes that they may see that they have a drug addiction problem that requires Your help Lord. May You lead (name) not into temptation and deliver them from evil and all harmful substances towards his body. I pray that they will repent of their ways and surrender all to You that they may be saved, Amen.
