Whether you are praying for relief from a disgruntled employee or have concerns for your fellow employee, here is a look at some great prayers for coworkers. This is a great way to reach out and seek help from the Lord and receive a blessing.
God of Peace, working with others who lack understanding and wisdom can at times be hard, but I pray that I let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor, and slander be put away from me, along with all malice. I pray for peace among my co-workers, I pray that we will be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as You in Christ forgave me. Let every opportunity for thoughtless argument be diffused. Amen.
Ephesians 4:31-32
God of Love, Your word tells me that if possible, so far as it depends on me, I should live peaceably with all. O Lord, help to keep the peace in my workplace and extend a Godly love to my co-workers. I thank You in advance for the many relationships (within my workplace) that will be founded upon Your love and peace. I pray that You guide my heart and the hearts of those that I work with. Amen.
Romans 12:18
Awesome God, I pray against false accusations and snide comments in my workplace. I pray that no corrupting talk will come out of our (my co-worker’s and I) mouths, but only such as is good for building up as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. I pray that all the rumors that have been circulating among my co-workers be diminished, instead let love circulate among us. Amen.
Ephesians 4:29
Precious Savior, thank You for Your Word that offers wisdom in times of trouble and uncertainty. Your Word states that if my brother sins against me, I should go and tell him his fault, between me and him alone. If he listens to me, then I have gained my brother. I pray that my co-workers and I, communicate in a way that diminishes drama and tension. I also pray that we treat one another with respect at all times. Amen.
Matthew 18:15
Righteous One, I pray that You give my co-workers and I, strength to complete the tasks set for us. I pray that whatever I do, I work at with all my heart, as working for You, not for human masters, since I know that I will receive an inheritance from You as a reward. It is You who I am serving, it is You who I pray is the center of my workplace and the hearts of my co-workers. Amen.
Colossians 3:23-24
Heavenly Father, Your word says that we will eat the fruit of our labor, blessings and prosperity will be ours. I pray for my co-workers right now; I pray that they work hard so that when they reap what they have sown it will be of great reward. Let them not become lazy in doing the work required, instead, I pray for an increase in strength and motivation so that they may excel in all that they do and in all that they receive. Amen.
Psalm 128:2
Dear Lord, let my co-workers and I not be mere talkers. All hard work brings a profit but mere talk leads only to poverty! I pray that we remain focused on the goal of working hard for the good of this company, but I also pray that we do so because diligence is a characteristic that appeals to Your nature. Those who worked their land in the old testament had abundant food, but those who chase fantasies have no sense. I pray that my co-workers remain like the former, not the latter. Amen.
Proverbs 14:23 & Proverbs 12:11
Dear Father who dwells in the high places, I pray for unity among my co-workers. I ask that as we work together, as a diverse community, You will be with us and keep us united. Your Word states that two are better than one because they have a good reward for their labor. Lord help us stand together because the reward for the work that we do shall be greater together than alone. Amen.
Ecclesiastes 4:9
King of Kings, help my co-workers to do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than themselves. Let each of us not look only to our own interests, but also to the interests of others. Let our hearts be kind and let our actions demonstrate love for one another because we are a team. Whenever one co-worker places himself/herself above another, please humble their heart so that there will be no conflict or bitterness among us. Amen.
Philippians 2:3-5
Majesty, the fruits of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Fill my co-workers and I with Your Spirit so that the workplace can be a fruitful and God-filled environment. I pray that we adopt these fruits in our hearts so that we leave no room for the works of the flesh which will prevent us from inheriting Your Kingdom. Let us not become conceited, provoking one another or envying one another. Amen.
