Preparing for a new little one coming into the world can be an overwhelming time. Praying for your child’s good health and spiritual well being is just one way to achieve peace. Here is a look at some good prayers for an unborn child.
Father God, thank you for blessing my family with this baby that will be born in a few months. Father, you tell us to pray about everything; that is why I have come to you today to ask you, Lord, to take good care of my baby when it is still in the womb. Shield him or her from any dangers associated with pregnancy. Help my child to develop fully in the womb so that he or she can be healthy. In Jesus’ name, I believe and pray, Amen.
Good Future Prayer
Lord, you have promised us a great future through your word. I know that you will never disappoint your children. Lord, I am here to ask you to please grant my unborn child a great future when he or she is born. Give this child the strength and courage to fulfill their life goals. May this child make a difference in the world for the glory of your holy name. In Jesus’ name, I believe and pray, Amen.
O Lord, I thank you for this great blessing in my life. I asked you for a child, and you granted my petition. I bless you, for you are the God who answers prayer. Thank you for removing my shame and for lifting my head high. Father, I want to dedicate this child to you. May he serve you all the days of his life. May you use him as a vessel to make a difference in the world for the glory of your name. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
Walk In Your Ways Prayer
Heavenly Father, gracious God, how majestic is your name. Lord, from the lips of children, you have ordained praise because of your enemies. Let my child praise you from childhood to adulthood. Please help him to walk in your ways and grant him wisdom that he may avoid the ways of sinners from an early age. Let everything my baby does bring glory to your holy name. May he praise you with all his heart and tell of your wonders all the days of his life. In Jesus’ name, I believe and pray, Amen.
Oh God, you have shown the wonder of your great love by giving me this baby. Knit my baby together in my womb with love. Keep my unborn baby safe. Rescue him from all the dangers and complications that come with pregnancy. Keep my child as the apple of your eye. Hide him in the shadow of your wings as he matures. Put praises in his mouth from childhood and let all who meet him know that you are the true living God. Bring down every evil plan that the enemy is planning for my child when he is born. Destroy any barricades that are being set by the devil to block my child from fulfilling his calling. Deliver him from generational curses from our family lines and help him to walk in the blessings of Abraham. In Jesus’ name, I believe and pray, Amen.
Gracious Father, you are worthy of all honor and glory. Praise be to the Lord, my rock. Thank you for this precious blessing that you have planted in my womb. May I have a safe delivery when the time comes in Jesus’ name. Lord, as my baby grows, may he or she be a blessing to everyone. Cause people and nations to be blessed through her and let her increase in wisdom, stature, and favor with you and man. May she be at the top never at the bottom for the glory of your name. In Jesus’ name, I believe and pray, Amen.
Uncomplicated Pregnancy Prayer
Father God, Thank you for granting me the desire of my heart and for not withholding the request of my lips. I asked you for a child, and you’ve given me one. Thank you for this bundle of joy that is still developing in my womb. I ask you to please grant me an uncomplicated pregnancy. May I enjoy this season as I prepare for motherhood. Let this pregnancy bring me closer to you. Be exalted my father and King for you have turned my mourning into dancing. In Jesus’ name, I believe and pray, Amen.
