11 Good Prayers for Long Distance Relationships

1 Corinthians 13:7
O Lord, I understand that love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things and endures all things. In aa long-distance relationship, it sometimes gets hard to endure patiently every issue (whether major or minor), it also gets hard to have faith in my other half at all times, as well as to expect certain things from my partner. I pray that in every situation (in my long-distance relationship), I demonstrate this love that Your word talks about, Amen.

Colossians 2:5
God of Peace, just as Your word tells me that You are absent in flesh, yet You are with me in spirit so that I can be joyful and behold You, I pray that I can also remain joyful even though my partner is absent in flesh. I pray for joy in my long-distance relationship; I pray that just as I am faithful to You who is not physically with me, let me be the same also for my partner, Amen.

God of Love help me to be more loving in my long-distance relationship. Lord of All, I pray that You watch between me and my partner, when we are absent from one another. I declare that in our long-distance relationship we will acknowledge that You see us both and will behave according to this standard. Let us not be double-sided in this relationship, I proclaim that the way I act when my partner is around and when he/she is not around will be the same, Amen.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
Holy God, Your word declares that two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, one will lift us the other: but the one that is alone has no hand to help him up when he falls. Father, I pray that even though I am in a long-distance relationship, let my partner feel like they can lean on me. Let the two of us together be like one: unified and steadfast, Amen.

Righteous God, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevails against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Although my partner is absent in the flesh, I do not take it for granted that You have blessed me with them! I thank You for placing such a special person in my life. Eternal God, I trust in You with all my heart; and lean not on my own understanding. In all of my ways I will acknowledge You, and You shall direct my paths. I know that my long-distance relationship is only by Your grace towards me. I pray that my partner and I continue to not be wise in our own eyes, instead we shall fear You and depart from evil for our own health. Continue to guide us both as we journey far from each other, Amen.

Precious God, this long distance relationship can be so draining at times. It is hard to show affection when my partner is absent in the flesh. It is sometimes hard to trust when I cannot see what he/she is doing. But Lord, I pray against my insecurities right now. I know and believe that this relationship can flourish, because You are the Lord, the God of all flesh. There is nothing too hard for You! Amen.

Eternal God, I thank You for my long-distance relationship because I know that it is by Your grace and mercy that I have this relationship. Let Your love be the foundation of this relationship because hatred only stirs up strife, but love covers all offences. I declare that in my relationship we will not give in to jealousy, nor will we respond out of anger. Instead we will reflect and act out of love at all times because love is the most important thing, Amen.

Beautiful One, I pray that my partner and I use our words to build one another in our long-distance relationship. I declare that we will put away anger, wrath, malice, slander, and obscene talk from our mouths. We cannot show our affection via action as we live many miles apart but I pray that our words show true God-like compassion.
