11 Strong Prayers for Good Weather

Matthew 8:26-27
God of Creation, I seek You for good weather in my country. In the word, You asked Your children why they were afraid and lacked faith because of the turbulence they felt by the winds and sea. But You rebuked the winds and sea and it became perfectly calm. Father, I know that even the winds and sea obey You, all of creation obeys You. I pray that You bless us with good weather, Amen.

Job 5:10
Sovereign God, it is You who gives rain on the earth and sends water on all the fields. You are in control of all things, including creation. I pray that Your hand continues to be seen upon Your earthly works, bless us with great weather so that we may enjoy one another’s company safely and freely. Bless us with sunshine, perfect temperatures and the right amount of rain, Amen.

Job 26:8-9
Author of Life, You wrap the waters in Your clouds, and the cloud does not burst under them without Your command. You obscure the face of the full moon and spread Your cloud over it at a perfect distance so that we are not blinded by its reflection of light. Lord, nature shows just a small fragment of Your beauty and Your complexity. I pray that You bless us with good weather this season so that we may appreciate Your beauty more and more each day, Amen.

Psalm 135:7
Precious King, You cause the vapours to ascend from the ends of the earth; it is You who makes lightnings for the rain, who brings forth the wind from Your treasuries. Your hand is upon and in nature, so I ask that You bless us with great weather in this season. I pray that we do not fear or hate creation but help us love it. I pray for calm winds and against torrential rain that leads to floods. I pray for peace in our environment, Amen.

Jeremiah 10:13
Mighty Warrior, I praise You because You are a God of true power. When You utter Your voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, and You cause the clouds to ascend from the end of the earth! I pray that You order creation to bless us, so that we may enjoy nature and good weather. I declare that we will take advantage of the good weather that You are about to bless us with, Amen.

Proverbs 3:19-20
Father of Lights, it is by Your wisdom that the earth was founded! It was by Your understanding that You established the heavens! By Your knowledge the deeps were broken up and the skies drip with dew. I bless Your Matchless Name! Worthy are You Lord, for You are the author of the intricacies seen within Creation. I pray that You order Creation to cater to us so that we can experience good weather this year, Amen.

Job 36:26-33
King of My Heart, You are exalted, You sit high and lifted up. You are beyond our understanding; the number of Your years is unsearchable. You draw up the drops of water, they distil rain from the mist, which the clouds pour down. No one can understand the spreading of the clouds, nor the thundering of Your pavilion. But I do understand that Creation responds at Your command, so I ask You to give us good weather, Amen.

Leviticus 26:4
Prince of Peace, I understand that everything happens according to its season. You give rain in the right season, so that the land will yield its produce and the trees of the field will bear fruit. Lord, I pray that in this season, You bless us with great weather. I pray that I can enjoy sunshine, warmth and cool winds. I declare that this will be a season of perfect, God-sent weather! Bless us with great weather, Amen.

Deuteronomy 11:10-15
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the land that we live in, because You have enabled us to possess it. I pray for good weather in this land, I declare that we can drink the water from the rain because it comes from heaven. I thank You for this land because I know that You care about it, Your eyes are always on it, from the beginning even to the end of the year! Lord, bless us with great weather in this land, Amen.

Jeremiah 5:24
Ruler of the Heavens and the Earth, I fear You and honour You, Who gives rain in its season, both autumn rain and the spring rain, Who keeps for us the appointed weeks of the harvest. The weather is under Your divine control, so Father, I ask that You bless us with good weather in this season of chaos. I pray for stillness and calmness in my environment, Amen

While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease unless You say so.
