Prayer for Divine Strength
Everlasting Father, I pray that You give me divine strength so that I do not lose heart in my battle with cancer. Even though my outer nature is wasting away, my inner nature is being renewed day by day. For this slight (in relation to You) momentary affliction is preparing me for an eternal weight of glory beyond measure, because I look not at what can be seen but at what cannot be seen; for what can be seen (such as my cancer) is temporary, but what cannot be seen is eternal.
