12 Good Catholic Bedtime Prayers for Children

A part of your nightly bedtime routine should be a nighttime prayer. You can use a traditional blessing, or recite any of these Catholic bedtime prayers for children. This will help to teach your children how to give thanks to the Lord and how to show their appreciation for the blessings in their lives.

Precious Father, I pray that as I lie down and sleep, I will do so in peace, for You, O Lord, make me dwell in safety. I will not fear the nighttime because Your presence is with me, Your love surrounds me, and Your protection is upon me. I thank You for allowing me to enjoy the day. I now pray that I can enjoy the night and have a peaceful sleep. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
