It is not easy for a pastor to be a shepherd to his/her flock and to deliver the word of God to his/her congregation. Our pastors need our constant prayers. Here are some great prayers for pastor appreciation that will help you to pray for their strength and wisdom.

Lord,  I enter your courts with praise and thanksgiving.  Thank you for choosing our pastor to shepherd this church. Thank you for helping him to walk in the counsel of the Godly. May you continue strengthening him so that he can lead us to you our true living God. Remove anything in his life that may hinder him from fulfilling the calling you have placed in his heart. Dear God, every good and perfect gift comes from you.  We want to thank you for our pastor.  He is an excellent gift to the church and the community.  I want to thank you for the great sacrifice that our pastor makes to ensure that we grow spiritually. Lord, continue prospering him and his work.  Grant him wisdom that he may know how to teach the word in a way that brings people closer to your son Jesus Christ. Health Prayer
God, many pastors are struggling with depression these days.  We have knowingly or unknowingly pushed them into depression because we want them to be perfect always.  We forget that they’re just human beings like us that you’re using as vessels to spread the gospel. Father, shield them from the spirit of suicide.  As they preach to us, may the word bring healing into their bodies and minds.  Sustain the body and soul of our pastor that he may be able to stay healthy. May he find time to recharge so that he can do your work diligently and excellently.  In Jesus’ name, we believe and pray, Amen.

Faithfulness Prayer
Father, so many pastors, and preachers are drifting away from the true gospel of Jesus Christ.  Many of them are choosing to serve men instead of you.  But I thank you for our pastor, who has remained faithful to his calling.  He is determined to preach Jesus Christ and him crucified all the days of his life.  Lord, help him to remain faithful to his calling.  If there’s anyone in his life that is trying to lead him astray, remove that person.  Expose every lie of the enemy against our pastor and protect him from every manner of evil.  In Jesus’ name, we believe and pray, Amen.

Family and Friends Prayer
Lord, I bring the family of our pastor into your able hands.  Father, you know the desires of their hearts, fulfill them according to your will. Lord, when the enemy wants to bring down pastors, he uses their family and friends.  Lord, may the family and friends of our pastor grant him peace and harmony.  May they be a blessing to him and not a source of strife and contention.  May our pastor find favor with his wife, children, and friends all the days of his life.  When he offends them, may they be quick to forgive him.  Give our pastor wisdom and knowledge on how to take good care of his loved ones.  Irrespective of how tight his schedule is, help him to remember that family is his first ministry.  In Jesus’ name, we pray Amen.

Provision Prayer
Gracious God, many are the afflictions of our pastor, but you always delivered him from them all, and we want to say thank you. Thank you for the incredible power that is working within him to transform lives.  We know it is not him but you that is delivering people from captivity. Lord, supply all his needs according to your glorious riches. May he always remember that you care about him.  Grant him everything he needs that he may have all he needs and plenty left over to share with other people.  In Jesus’ name, we believe and pray, Amen.
