6 Intercession Prayers for Candlemas

Psalm 51:10
Almighty Father, You are righteous and clothed in majesty. We recognize who You are because Your Son was presented in the Temple this day. As we reflect upon this moment, help us Lord, to be presented to You in purity and cleanliness through Your Son Jesus Christ. So create in me a clean heart Oh Lord and renew a right spirit in me; this is my desire, Amen.

Malachi 3:1-3
Everlasting God, thank You for Your message of the covenant in whom You delight. We praise You for the coming day of the Lord, who will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver. Just as You purified the descendants of Levi and refined them like gold, please refine and purify us in the same way, so that we can be pleasing to the Lord and that we may offer an offering in righteousness. We pray that our offering will be pleasing to You, Amen.

John 3:16, Isaiah 60:1
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life. We pray today, that the love shown by God through His Son, Jesus Christ will never die in our hearts. Help us to delight in You and we pray that we shall arise because the light has come. So Father, let Your glory and Your majesty be our joy, peace and strength forevermore, Amen.

Genesis 1:3
Everlasting Father, You who created the universe declared, let there be light. The light existed to counteract darkness. So Lord, we pray that the light that is within our hearts will blot out the darkness of this world and that You Lord may shine in the hearts of Your servants. We worship You Lord, the One who is the giver of light, Amen.

John 8:12
Heavenly Father, You said in Your Word, that You are the light of the world and those who follow You shall not walk in darkness but they will have the light of life. So Lord, I Confess my sins to You because I seek to represent You as light in my life. Forgive me of my sins I pray, as I ask for Your grace and mercy through Jesus Christ my Lord, Amen.

John 11:25
Almighty Father, thank You for Your Son Jesus Christ, who died on the cross, rose again and is alive by the power and authority, through the Holy Spirit. You came to give life to a lost world in sin. So, thank You for Your resurrecting power. We pray that, we will experience Your presence and share your light, that is shining bright within us. You alone are seated on Your throne because You are the most high God; thank you Lord, Amen.
