1 Corinthians 6:18-20
Dear Lord, I pray that You give me the strength to run from sexual sin! Sexual immorality is not only a betrayal to my marital partner, but this is a sin against my own body. I pray that my body is a temple of Your Holy Spirit which is within me. Therefore, my body is not my own to give away so freely. Help me to honor You Lord with my body, Amen.
Exodus 20:14
Dear Lord, Your Word clearly states that I shall not commit adultery. The commandment is simple and I must honor my partner and not defile the marriage bed under any circumstances. I pray that whenever I feel distant from my partner or angry or hurt, let me not respond to these fleshy emotions. Let me seek Your face at all times. This is my prayer, Amen.
Hebrews 13:4-5
Heavenly Father, You intended marriage to be held in honor and the marriage bed undefiled by immorality or by any sexual sin. Right now, I pray against the spirit of adultery in Jesus Name. I pray that You keep my heart and mind clean as You judge the sexually immoral and adulterous. I pray that I am satisfied with and grateful for the partner I have married. I pray against any lustful desires that enter in our relationship, Amen.
1 John 1:9
Dear God, I freely admit that I am in a place where I have sinned or have thought about sinning by adultery. I pray that You forgive me for not honoring my marriage or my marriage bed. I pray that You cleanse me from this sin and help me flee from all unrighteousness, wrongdoing and everything not in conformity with Your will and purpose. This is the prayer of my heart, Amen.
Matthew 16:24
Heavenly Father, I made a vow to follow You with all my heart. However, I am falling short by dipping into sexual immorality and adultery. But in the Name of Jesus and through Your blood, I pray that You give me the strength to deny myself so that my fleshy desires do not destroy my marriage and relationship with You. Father I let go of my lustful heart and take up my cross, to follow You. This is the desire of my heart, Amen.
James 4:7-8
Dear God, I submit all that I am to You. I have decided right now to resist the devil so that he will flee from me in Jesus’ name. I pray that I am no longer comfortable in adultery and sexual immorality as it distances me from my partner and most importantly You. I wash my hand and pray that You purify my heart so that my loyalty resides in You. I pray that I draw near to You, Lord, as You draw near to me, Amen.
Ephesians 6:11-13
Dear Lord, I put on the full armor of God, so that I can successfully stand against the wiles of the devil. My struggle isn’t against flesh and blood, but against principalities, powers, rulers of darkness and spiritual hosts of wickedness in supernatural places. I will no longer submit to my adulterous acts, but I dress myself with the complete armor of God so I will resist such desires. Thank You, Lord, Amen.
