Psalms 147:3, Revelation 21:4
Dear Lord, Your Word says that You are able to wipe away my tears. So I pray that You wipe away the sorrow I feel at this moment in time. I feel overwhelmed with pain right now, but Lord let the feeling of Your presence outweigh the heaviness felt by my grief. I thank You that You heal the broken hearted and bind up their wounds; Lord, please bind up the wounds from my grief. I ask this in Your Name, Amen.
Psalms 73:26, John 14:1
Oh Lord, my flesh feels crippled by my grief, but Your Word says that in spite of this and even though my flesh and heart fail, it is You who is the strength of my heart forever. Lord, I put my trust in You and ask that You allow me to let go of my grief so that I can receive Your peace. I thank You in advance for the peace that I am about to receive, Amen.
Isaiah 53:4-5, Joshua 1:9
Heavenly Father, I thank You that You sent Your Son to be pierced and crushed so that by His wounds I could be healed. I pray that You help me walk in this promise of healing during this difficult time. I pray for healing from the sadness I feel and pray that I can one day be strong as You instructed Joshua. Help me not to be discouraged, because You are always with me, Amen.
1 Peter 5:7
Dear Lord, the grief I feel right now is unbearable. I understand that You know how I feel because You created me and I know that You care for me. I cast all of my sadness on You so that I can feel whole again. Please take away the pain so that I can be filled with peace. Make my heart whole so that I can feel joy again. Lord I love You and thank You for being with me during this difficult period of my life, Amen.
Proverbs 3:5-6
Heavenly Father, I don’t understand why I have to experience the pain that I do because it hurts so much. Lord I don’t know how to cope and feel that nobody understands, but I know that You do. Therefore, I trust not in myself, but I trust in You with all my heart. Please direct me out of this path of pain. Lead me to the joy that You have promised me. Thank You Father for hearing my cry, Amen.
Matthew 5:4
Dear Lord, I thank You because You see me even in my pain. I thank You because I am not alone even though I feel like I am. Lord I pray that I will always feel Your comfort and peace during this time of pain. Your Word says that in my mourning I am blessed and that in my mourning I will be comforted. Thank You Father, that in the midst of my mourning, I receive Your blessings and comfort in Jesus Name, Amen.
2 Corinthians 1:4
Dear Lord, I thank You for the comfort I have received. I didn’t think that I would make it, but because of You I have replaced grief with peace. Your Word says that we may be able to comfort those who are in trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. So, Father help me to comfort others in the way that You have comforted me. Let my healing be another person’s comfort and strength. Father, thank You for keeping me and strengthening my heart. This is the prayer of my heart, Amen.
