The List of Human Cloning Disadvantages

List of Disadvantages of Human Cloning

1. It has the potential to decrease the overall value of human life.
It is believed that this practice could make humans more of a commodity, instead of an individual. For example, when parents happen not to like their children in any way, they could possibly just go for cloning to get it perfect for them the next time around. It could also create a social divide between cloned and naturally born individuals.

2. It contradicts religious ethics.
People having strong religious beliefs do not support human cloning, as they feel that it could lead to man becoming the creator, which will rule out that there is a supreme being. Aside from this, emotional opinions that are not based on facts have emerged.

3. It is regarded as an act of intervening with nature.
As critics feel that human cloning is artificial, they argue that it interferes with nature, believing that the natural process of creation should not be changed in such a way. They add that gene modification will cause the average person no longer having a place in society.

It is not easy to reach a mutual understanding of human cloning, but having a better understanding about this practice can make the subject clearer to us. By assessing the advantages and disadvantages listed above, we can develop our own perspective whether it is good for humanity, or not.
