7 Good Prayers for College Freshmen

1 Timothy 4:12
God of Glory, I thank You so much for allowing me to further my education by attending college. I pray that although I am young, I do not let anyone look down on me. Instead help me to set an example for believers in speech in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity. I pray that I remember this when I start each semester, let my lifestyle be an example of Your greatness, Amen.

Psalm 119:9-11
Heavenly God, I thank You for the independence I will gain when I go to college, but I pray that I stay on the path of purity. Father, I pray that I remain rooted in Your word and live by it. I pray that I continue to seek You with all my heart, and do not stray from Your commands. I have hidden Your word in my heart so that I will not sin against You, Amen.

Precious Saviour, I pray that I walk carefully on the path that You have laid out for me. I want to live a life of honour, purpose, and courage; turning away from those who encourage evil. Father, I pray that I walk not as the unwise, but as the wise, making the most of my time here on earth. I value each opportunity You have given me to grow and prosper, Amen.

Isaiah 40:30-31
Lord of all, I thank You for who You are. I thank You in advance for my college experience, I pray that I remember that I am not invincible. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall and be exhausted; but they who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. I pray that whenever I face an obstacle, I will mount up with wings like eagles; I shall run and not be weary; I shall walk and not faint, Amen.

1 Corinthians 15: 57-58
Thanks be to God! You give us the victory through Your son Jesus Christ. Therefore, we pray that we remain steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in You our labour is not in vain. We pray that as we go to college, we work hard for our degree and we pray that we also work hard to please You and for the goodness of Your kingdom, Amen.

Glory be to God in the highest! I will be attending college and I know that such a task comes with its own struggles. I know that it will not be an easy ride, but I pray a prayer of thanksgiving! A righteous person may have many troubles, but You deliver him from them all! I walk by faith and not by sight and I thank You for the victory that I have in You, Amen.

Holy One, I know that You have commanded me to be strong and of good courage.
